By accessing or using an AMSA service, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.

If you are using an AMSA service on behalf of a business, clinic, training provider or other organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to bind that organisation to these terms.

AMSA is a voluntary professional association supporting professionalism, ethical practice, education, professional development and consumer confidence within the massage sector.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, AMSA is not a government regulator, statutory registration authority, university or registered training organisation.

Membership, certification or recognition issued by AMSA does not itself provide a licence to practise, Medicare eligibility, health-fund recognition, government registration or authority to provide services where another approval is required.

Applicants must satisfy the eligibility requirements applying to the relevant membership category, credential, course, directory listing or service.

AMSA may request reasonable evidence of identity, qualifications, insurance, education, professional experience, business details or other information relevant to eligibility.

Meeting minimum eligibility requirements does not guarantee approval. AMSA may assess the completeness, credibility and suitability of an application.

You must provide accurate and current information when creating or maintaining an account.

• Keep passwords and account credentials confidential.
• Do not share access with unauthorised persons.
• Notify AMSA promptly of suspected unauthorised access.
• Keep contact and professional information up to date.
• Accept responsibility for activities conducted through your account.

AMSA may suspend access where security, misuse, fraud or unauthorised activity is reasonably suspected.

All information and supporting documents submitted to AMSA must be accurate, genuine, complete and not misleading.

AMSA may verify information with educational institutions, training providers, insurers, employers, referees, professional bodies or other appropriate organisations.

False, altered, incomplete or misleading information may result in delay, refusal, suspension, cancellation or disciplinary review.

Membership is personal to the approved member unless AMSA expressly approves an organisational membership category.

Members must continue to meet applicable requirements, pay fees when due and comply with AMSA policies, professional standards and codes of conduct.

Membership benefits may vary between categories and may be changed, replaced or withdrawn where reasonably necessary.

Membership does not guarantee employment, business revenue, referrals, insurance recognition, provider-number recognition or acceptance by any third party.

AMSA certificates, membership cards, provider identifiers, badges, logos and professional credentials remain subject to AMSA rules and verification requirements.

• Credentials must only be used while current and valid.
• They must not be altered, transferred or misrepresented.
• They must not imply government approval unless expressly authorised.
• Expired, suspended or revoked credentials must not be promoted as current.
• AMSA may require removal or correction of misleading representations.

Eligible members may be permitted to appear in AMSA's public professional directory.

Members are responsible for ensuring that public profile information is accurate, lawful and not misleading.

Directory inclusion does not constitute a guarantee by AMSA of the quality, suitability, availability or outcome of services provided by an individual practitioner.

Consumers should make their own enquiries before selecting a practitioner.

Members must act professionally, ethically and lawfully and comply with applicable AMSA codes, policies and standards.

AMSA may receive, assess and investigate complaints or concerns involving member conduct, public safety, misrepresentation, qualification claims or misuse of AMSA credentials.

AMSA may impose reasonable outcomes under its policies, including education requirements, conditions, warnings, suspension, removal from the directory or termination.

Course descriptions, learning outcomes, access periods, assessment requirements and completion conditions will be stated on the relevant course page or enrolment notice.

Participants must complete their own work and must not copy, distribute, reproduce or misuse course materials.

Unless expressly stated, an AMSA Academy course is not a nationally recognised qualification and does not replace training required by law, an employer, insurer or government authority.

Completion certificates may be withheld where course, assessment, payment or conduct requirements have not been met.

Fees are shown in Australian dollars unless stated otherwise. Applicable taxes and transaction charges may be included or separately identified.

Payment must be made using an accepted payment method. AMSA may use third-party payment processors.

AMSA may change future fees by publishing updated pricing or giving reasonable notice. A price change will not ordinarily affect a service already fully paid for.

Membership and credentials may operate for a fixed period and require renewal.

Members are responsible for renewing on time and supplying any updated evidence required by AMSA.

If membership expires, access to benefits, directory listing, digital credentials, certificates or member-only services may be suspended or removed.

Where automatic renewal is offered, the renewal terms will be disclosed before activation and members may cancel future automatic renewals through the available account or contact process.

Eligibility for cancellation, credit or refund may depend on the service purchased, whether assessment or administration has begun, whether digital content has been accessed and any specific terms disclosed at purchase.

Change-of-mind refunds are not automatically available unless AMSA expressly offers them.

Nothing in this section excludes any right or remedy available under the Australian Consumer Law or another law that cannot be excluded.

You must not:

• use the website unlawfully or fraudulently;
• attempt to gain unauthorised access to systems or accounts;
• upload malicious code, viruses or harmful material;
• scrape, harvest or copy data without permission;
• impersonate another person or misrepresent an affiliation;
• interfere with website performance or security;
• publish defamatory, abusive or misleading content; or
• use AMSA information to send unsolicited communications.

Website content, course materials, certificates, graphics, logos, badges, documents, standards, templates and other AMSA materials are owned by or licensed to AMSA.

Materials may be viewed and used for their intended personal or professional purpose but may not be reproduced, sold, republished, modified or distributed without written permission.

Permission to display an AMSA member badge or credential is limited, revocable and subject to current membership and AMSA branding requirements.

The website may link to or integrate with third-party websites, payment providers, learning platforms, insurers, training providers or other services.

AMSA does not control third-party services and is not responsible for their availability, terms, privacy practices or content.

AMSA website content is provided for general informational and professional-development purposes.

It is not medical, legal, financial, taxation, insurance or regulatory advice and should not be relied on as a substitute for advice appropriate to individual circumstances.

AMSA endeavours to keep information accurate and current but does not guarantee that every item will always be complete, error-free or suitable for every purpose.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AMSA is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising from use of the website or reliance on general information.

AMSA is not responsible for professional services supplied by independent members, practitioners, clinics, educators or other third parties.

Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, AMSA's liability will be limited only to the extent permitted by applicable law.

AMSA may suspend, restrict or terminate an account, membership, credential, directory listing or service where reasonably necessary because of:

• non-payment or expiry;
• breach of these terms or an AMSA policy;
• false or misleading information;
• misuse of credentials or branding;
• unlawful, unsafe or unethical conduct;
• security risk, fraud or system abuse; or
• a disciplinary or complaints outcome.

AMSA will apply any applicable process required by its policies and the circumstances of the matter.

AMSA handles personal information in accordance with its Privacy Policy and applicable privacy obligations.

By providing information to AMSA, you acknowledge that it may be collected, used, stored and disclosed for purposes described in the Privacy Policy and relevant collection notices.

AMSA may update these terms, its policies, website features, membership benefits and services when reasonably necessary.

The latest version will be published on this page with an updated effective date. Material changes may also be notified by email, account notice or another reasonable method.

Continued use after an updated version takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms, subject to applicable law.

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and applicable Commonwealth laws.

Subject to any non-excludable legal rights, the parties submit to the courts having jurisdiction in New South Wales.

If any provision is found to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be read down or severed to the extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue.
